About the inventory

The Copenhagen Burnout Inventory was developed by Tage Kristensen and colleagues as a response to the popular but inaccessible MBI. It is meant to be very generic and applicable to individuals no matter their occupation. Please see their descriptions of the subscales below.

  • Personal Burnout: measures the degree of physical and psychological fatigue and exhaustion experienced by the person

  • Work-related Burnout: measures the degree of physical and psychological fatigue and exhaustion that is perceived by the person as related to his/her [their] work

  • Client-related Burnout: measure the degree of physical and psychological fatigue and exhaustion that is perceived by the person as related to his/her [their] work with clients
